Sustainability Advisory Board of the University of Vienna
The Sustainability Advisory Board of the University of Vienna is an ad-hoc body that advises the Rectorate and develops recommendations and proposals for measures for the sustainability initiative of the University. The Vice Rector for Infrastructure chairs the Sustainability Advisory Board, while coordination is the responsibility of the Sustainability Coordination of the University of Vienna.
The Advisory Board consists of members of the University of Vienna and is broad and diverse. Members are in particular representatives of the faculties and centers, the senate, the scientific and general works council and the ÖH at the University of Vienna. Representatives of DLEs and other students also participate. In the sense of multipliers, the members carry the idea of sustainability and the information about the ongoing activities at the University of Vienna into the respective organizational unit. On the other hand, they bring good practices, ideas and questions from their organizational units to the advisory board.

Working groups
In spring 2023, eight working groups were formed within the Sustainability Advisory Board. Each member of the Advisory Board is involved in at least one of these groups. The individual working groups have different priorities and durations depending on the topic and work assignment. Each working group has at least one spokesperson and reports regularly on the progress of the working groups at the Advisory Board meetings.
